We are a private, non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving the needs of American military veterans, both locally in South-Western Pennsylvania and across the nation. We actively support a variety of community programs and organizations, including the Pittsburgh VA Hospital, the Wounded Warrior Project, the West Allegheny Food Bank, the Boy Scouts of America, Sharing and Caring and many others.
Our regular members are all American military veterans of foreign conflicts, with first-hand knowledge of the importance of supporting veteran-focused programs and aiding local veterans in-need. Any American military veteran who is eligible to join the national VFW organization will be openly welcomed into our post.
Anyone who is interested in supporting our organization--but lacks the necessary veteran status to be a regular member--can consider applying as a social member. To be a social member, one must be a person of good character, express interest in supporting the needs of local veterans, and must be sponsored by a regular member.
The VFW Mission: "To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military, and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans."
The VFW Vision: "Ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country."
